Rescue Mission

Hello.

Another week, another war zone. When will it all end? It was so sad to read that Sudan has joined the growing list of conflicts around the globe.

Much of the international and UK news this week has been dominated by the rescue missions to get foreign nationals out of Sudan. It has made gripping reading and viewing.

In Psalm 44:26 the writer prays to God: “rescue us because of your unfailing love”. This unfailing love is not just for Christians, but for all men and women everywhere and in every age. Our hope remains in this unfailing love as we “wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath” (1 Thessalonians 1:10).

Let’s continue to pray for those caught up in this world’s politics and battles, and let’s keep our eyes on the Risen Jesus, whose rescue mission for humanity has begun and will come to completion when he returns.

Kind regards
