Reading through Romans: Day Five

Welcome to day five of reading through Romans together! Today’s reading is Romans 2:1-16, but their is plenty time to catch up if you haven’t started reading through Romans yet. Take this time to dwell in God’s word. Pray that God will use this opportunity to encourage us collectively in our Bible study. And please leave a comment with your thoughts and insights below!

A possible prayer based on Romans 1:24-32:

“Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times when I have passed critical judgement and pointed a finger of accusation at the sins of other people, while hiding behind my own self-righteous pride. Thank you that Christ died for me and that I am saved by grace alone. Thank you that I am clothed in his righteousness. Give me a heart of compassion toward those you have not yet revealed yourself to, and use me to touch lives with love and not with criticism. This I ask in Jesus’ name, amen.”
