Our source of energy!
Hello.
As the Middle-East conflict spreads, it seems we are now facing a world energy crisis which is likely to affect us all. From reckless gas-guzzlers to thrifty home consumers, the impact will be felt by everyone.
It is not just an oil and gas crisis though. As we face an uncertain future we get pressured in so many ways that we can at times feel both mentally and spiritually depleted.
Where do we find the energy to keep us going?
The Apostle Paul gives us the answer. He encourages us to “strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works” in us with “great endurance and patience”, just as Paul himself did when faced with trials and afflictions from multiple sources (Colossians 1:29,11 NIVUK).
Whatever happens next in this world’s energy crisis, let’s be strengthened by the grace and power of our Lord.
Rely on the certainty of Jesus.
