The end of violence
Hello,
When will the violence end?
Like many British people in the past few weeks, I have watched the news reports of riots in our cities and towns with much concern. Will it escalate? Or is there some way out of this madness?
As we look the wider world the picture becomes even more alarming? Will the conflict in the Middle East grow? Or can a lasting peace be made?
Psalm 65:2-8 (MSG) suggests that the end of violence will only come when the whole earth acknowledge’s God’s glory.
“Earth-Tamer, Ocean-Pourer,
Mountain-Maker, Hill-Dresser,
Muzzler of sea storm and wave crash,
of mobs in noisy riot—
Far and wide they’ll come to a stop,
they’ll stare in awe, in wonder.
Dawn and dusk take turns
calling, ‘Come and worship.'”
If you desire an end to conflict, there is only one solution.
Turn to Jesus.
Warm regards,
Gavin.
