All on board
Hello.
I have spent a lot of time on trains this week and one of the thoughts that briefly crossed my mind was whether the direction of our lives is fixed like a railway track. Is choice just an illusion and everything has been pre-determined by fate or some higher power?
Interestingly the Apostle Paul had something to say on this subject: “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love” (Galatians 5:13 ESV).
The biblical viewpoint is that we have all been given free will. Our lives are not fixed like a railway track. Whatever is going on in your life at the moment, perhaps it is time to choose a different route: to serve one another humbly in love.
