Hello,
Are you one of those people who like to map out the shows you want to watch over the coming holiday season? Perhaps it a special of your favourite TV show? Or an old classic? Or perhaps it’s King’s Christmas speech?
But perhaps there is another message that you might want to tune into at this time of year. A story that is for everyone (past, present and future!). It was first announced, not on the news or as a TV ad or on the internet or by social media, but to shepherds who were tending their sheep in a field.
“An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people’” (Luke 2:9-10 NIV).
This good news is the most important message for not only this season, but for all seasons. It is the announcement that for us a Saviour was born, who is Jesus Christ, our Lord.
So, this Christmas, accept your Saviour, God’s ultimate gift.
