The perfect gift
Hello,
As I write this, shopping centres are packed with people searching for the perfect Christmas gift. Shelves are stacked high, queues are long, and there’s a sense of urgency in the air.
It’s striking how much effort we put into finding something that will bring joy to someone we love. Yet, even the best gift eventually fades – clothes wear out, gadgets break, and toys lose their shine.
But the Bible reminds us of a gift that never fades: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 ESV). Unlike earthly presents, God’s gift of salvation is everlasting. It cannot be broken, lost, or outgrown.
So as we wrap our presents this season, let us remember the greatest gift of all – Jesus Christ, given freely for us.
