Our hopes not dashed
Hello,
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” I thought of these words from the NKJV translation of Proverbs 13:12 when England’s hopes were dashed in the current World Cup.
What about the Christian hope? How certain is it?
The answer is that our hope will never frustrate or fail us. Why? Romans 5:5 tells us that our “hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Did you get that? So certain is our hope and confidence in Jesus that God’s outgoing and compassionate love has filled our hearts through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Do not be disappointed – put your hope in Jesus.
