Rain at last

Hello,

Rain at last!

After a very hot and dry summer that rain has come, I found myself smiling in gratitude as I stood in a field at our Christian summer camp enjoying the first few drops of rain. It reminded me of God’s words in Isaiah 44:3-4 (ESV).

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants.
They shall spring up among the grass
like willows by flowing streams.”

As thankful as we are for the rain, let’s pray even more earnestly for a generation refreshed by the living water of Christ.
