Never running dry

Hello,

Many motorists across the UK have been watching the fuel prices with growing concern. Diesel has recently reached the £2 per litre mark for the first time, while petrol prices continue to climb, putting pressure on households, commuters, and businesses alike.

As the cost of fuel rises, many of us find ourselves paying closer attention to the gauge on our dashboard. We become more aware of how much fuel remains and how much further it will take us.

Perhaps that raises another question: what are we running on spiritually?

Life can sometimes feel like a long journey. Work, family responsibilities, caring for others, serving in church, and dealing with life’s unexpected challenges can leave us feeling exhausted. We may keep going for a while on reserves, but eventually we discover that our own strength is not enough.

The good news of the gospel is that God never intended us to make the journey alone. Unlike the fuel in our cars, God’s grace can never be exhausted. His love does not fluctuate with world events or market prices. His Spirit continues to refresh, strengthen, and sustain those who look to Christ.

So this week, don’t just check what is in your tank – make sure your heart is being filled by the One who never runs dry.

“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 ESV)

Warm regards,

Gavin
